On July 28, 2026, at 4:20 a.m. ET, a Wyckoff resident has been remanded to custody in connection with what is being recognized as Bergen County's first case of deepfake and AI-generated child pornography. Brian Saracusa, aged 50, faced Judge Marc Ramundo during his detention hearing in Hackensack on July 24.
Saracusa is alleged to have not only produced artificial intelligence-generated child pornography but also shared it online. Additionally, he stands accused of surreptitiously photographing and videotaping an adult in various states of undress without their consent on multiple occasions. The charges against him include second-degree distribution of child pornography, third-degree possession of child pornography, third-degree creation of deceptive visual media, and third-degree invasion of privacy.
