Healthcare executives rank predictive maintenance among the top applications for AI, second only to security-related uses. Among organizations utilizing facility optimization solutions, 73% do so to enhance occupant comfort and wellness. Additionally, AI technology is being harnessed to bolster security, safety, and access control, with 58% of healthcare facility managers focusing on these objectives. Security is viewed as AI's most substantial long-term opportunity by healthcare leaders.

Energy management constitutes the third essential pillar. The challenges posed by rising energy expenses and constrained budgets are significant for facilities teams, with 80% of those intending to introduce optimization solutions planning to manage energy consumption more effectively. Over half of healthcare facility managers currently leverage AI for energy performance optimization, and 75% prioritizing energy management in their upcoming AI deployments.
