Flow Engineering, a promising startup specializing in AI-driven tools for hardware design, has successfully secured $50 million in a Series B funding round, reaching a valuation of $750 million, as announced on Wednesday.

The funding was led by notable investors, including Antonio Gracias from Valar Equity Partners, known for their stakes in Elon Musk's ventures like SpaceX, and Gavin Baker of Atreides Management, a hedge fund with investments in Musk's companies and AI chip manufacturer Cerebras. Sequoia Capital, which previously led Flow's Series A funding last October, also contributed, alongside former Sequoia partner Roelof Botha, who now serves on Flow’s board as an individual investor.

Founded three years ago in San Francisco, Flow is addressing the challenges associated with hardware design through its innovative AI agents, which streamline the process by automatically correlating CAD drawings with product specifications, simulation outcomes, and other testing results.

Among Flow’s client roster are prominent companies such as Anduril, Rivian, Joby Aviation, General Motors PPU (a collaboration between General Motors and TWG Motorsports), RV Tech (a joint venture between Rivian and Volkswagen), and Stoke Space, among others.
