The U.S. president has taken to his Truth Social platform to share an unusual series of AI-generated images as he faces increasing calls to conclude his controversial military involvement in Iran.
Donald Trump embarked on a peculiar posting spree on Sunday, showcasing what seem to be his aspirations for a potential return to the presidency. This active burst, which started around 11 a.m., featured 16 consecutive images, many either created or modified by AI, reflecting a reality that aligns with his vision.
Trump initiated this flurry with an AI image that portrayed CNN's Kaitlan Collins as Dylan Mulvaney, a transgender actress who has faced backlash from some of his supporters for her association with Bud Light. This was just the start, as he quickly followed up with numerous additional AI creations, including a cartoon satirizing Bruce Springsteen and Chris Christie, a fictitious museum display featuring a statue of himself tossing a “Trump 2028” hat, as well as playful jabs at late-night hosts like Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel, and Jimmy Fallon, alongside Rosie O'Donnell.
Despite the established two-term limit outlined in the U.S. Constitution, Trump seems to be reigniting his ambitions for a third term. As part of this online escapade, he shared an array of AI-generated mock movie posters, one showcasing him as the lead in a sci-fi flick titled “COSMIC COMMANDER,” another framing him in a horror scenario with the tagline “GIVE THE ENEMY NIGHTMARES” and the phrase “TRUMP 2028,” and a third illustrating him rescuing George Washington from a precarious cliff.
Reports suggest that Trump’s associates have noted he has been acting even more “erratic” than usual as he tries to navigate a way out of the ongoing conflict in Iran, which he initiated five months ago. The situation has escalated, with military fatalities rising to 18 and costs spiking since diplomatic efforts with Tehran faltered earlier this month.
Among the many images shared, one particularly stood out: it depicted Trump on a vessel, holding an American flag beside two soldiers, with an Iranian flag in view and an aircraft carrier looming in the background. The dramatic scene was accompanied by a bold caption stating, “It’s Our Oil Tanker Now!”
Shifting gears, he also shared an image of himself alongside President John F. Kennedy, reminiscing about JFK’s charm during a recent children’s television segment.
As the White House has yet to respond to inquiries regarding Trump’s latest online activities, it remains clear that his focus has turned towards the Iran conflict, and he continues to assert his intention to seek a fourth presidential term, which he announced at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
