It is part of a broader trend of significant acquisitions from Israeli companies, which includes renowned names such as cybersecurity firm Armis, analytics provider Pyramid Analytics, and AI observability platform Traceloop.

Sweep, founded in 2021 by Ido Gaver and Eran Kirshenboim, aims to create an "agentic workspace" tailored for go-to-market operations. Their notable funding achievements include a $22.5 million Series B round in May 2025, led by Insight Partners, alongside participation from Bessemer Venture Partners. The estimated size of the Sweep transaction is particularly noteworthy given the company’s total disclosed funding of $46 million.

The startup's innovative technology seamlessly integrates with major enterprise platforms like ServiceNow, Salesforce, and HubSpot. Sweep's software monitors metadata across these systems to pinpoint misalignments and bottlenecks, while also generating necessary documentation and offering contextual support for users.

ServiceNow has acquired Israeli startup Sweep in a deal estimated to be worth hundreds of millions of dollars, another major move by the enterprise software giant to expand its push into artificial intelligence and autonomous work. Neither company has officially announced the acquisition or disclosed its value.

The deal comes less than two months after ServiceNow acquired Israeli AI startup ai.work for tens of millions of dollars, and follows a much larger series of Israeli acquisitions that has included cybersecurity company Armis, analytics company Pyramid Analytics and AI observability startup Traceloop.

"Sweep’s technology and expertise strengthen our AI-native development capabilities and advance agentic deployment for CRM. The impact for customers is direct: faster time-to-value as they scale agentic systems," ServiceNow told CTech in a written statement.

The estimated size of the Sweep transaction is notable given that the company has raised $46 million in disclosed funding. Founded in 2021 by Ido Gaver and Eran Kirshenboim, Sweep develops what it calls an “agentic workspace” for go-to-market operations. Its $22.5 million Series B round, announced in May 2025, was led by Insight Partners with participation from Bessemer Venture Partners.

Sweep’s technology works across enterprise platforms including ServiceNow, Salesforce and HubSpot. Its software monitors metadata across these systems, identifies misalignments and bottlenecks, generates documentation and provides contextual assistance to users.

The company has also been developing an “agentic layer” designed to recommend or implement changes rather than simply flag problems. The broader goal is to make the systems used by go-to-market teams more adaptive, allowing AI to act on information inside enterprise software rather than merely analyze it.

Sweep’s customers have included Brex, LG Electronics, Mass General Brigham, NBC Sports, Exiger and Wix.

Gaver and Kirshenboim previously launched Flok, a company that was acquired by Wix.

The acquisition comes as ServiceNow is building a broader strategy around AI agents and autonomous enterprise work, with recent purchases targeting different layers of the technology stack.

Builders Stage agenda revealed for Disrupt 2026

Adobe has successfully added to its portfolio by acquiring Rilo, a marketing intelligence startup based in India, through a deal that encompasses both licensing and team acquisition, as confirmed by TechCrunch and the company itself. This marks Adobe's second acquisition from India, following its purchase of the video platform Rephrase.ai earlier in 2023. The specific financial terms of the deal remain undisclosed.

While Adobe has verified the acquisition, the company has abstained from providing further comments.

The integration of Rilo brings with it a talented team and cutting-edge technology that focuses on the automation of marketing workflows. As businesses increasingly turn to AI to enhance the creation, deployment, and monitoring of marketing campaigns, Rilo's tools can help streamline processes, extract action items from meetings or calls, and elevate brand presence on platforms like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude. This technology is poised to enhance Adobe's existing offerings, particularly for its enterprise clientele.

Rilo was founded in 2025 by IIT alumni Georgi Boby and Dhruv Jaglan and had managed to secure $1 million from notable investors such as Peak XV, DeVC, and Day Zero Ventures, achieving a valuation of $10 million. According to sources, investors will see returns from this transaction, and Adobe plans to assimilate some of Rilo's intellectual property along with a six-member team. Jaglan highlighted on LinkedIn that over 10,000 users had tested their product.

The startup specialized in enabling go-to-market teams to develop tailored workflows that included competitor analysis, content repurposing and distribution, as well as sales call evaluations. Rilo's offerings were comparable to established tools like Claude Cowork and ChatGPT Work, allowing for a high degree of customization.

In light of the acquisition, Rilo will cease operations and its services will no longer be available to existing customers.

Adobe has acquired India-based marketing intelligence startup Rilo in a deal involving licensing and team acquisition, TechCrunch learned and the company confirmed. This is Adobe’s second acquisition from India after it bought video platform Rephrase.ai in 2023. The companies didn’t disclose the deal’s terms.

Beyond confirming the deal, Adobe declined to comment.

The acquisition gives Adobe a small team and technology focused on automating marketing workflows, which have been changing as companies use AI to build tools to automate the creation, deployment, and tracking of campaigns, get action items from meetings or calls to complete tasks, and increase brand visibility on platforms like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude. Rilo’s technology could bolster Adobe’s existing products as the company targets its larger customers.

Founded by IIT batchmates Georgi Boby and Dhruv Jaglan in 2025, Rilo raised $1 million from investors including Peak XV, DeVC, and Day Zero Ventures at a $10 million valuation. A source told TechCrunch that investors will get an exit from this deal, and Adobe will integrate some of Rilo’s IP along with the six-member team. Jaglan mentioned on LinkedIn that more than 10,000 people had tried out the tool.

The company worked on letting go-to-market teams create custom workflows, including competitor intelligence, content repurposing and distribution, and sales call analysis. It also allowed teams to set up custom workflows comparable to tools like Claude Cowork and ChatGPT Work.

Post-acquisition, Rilo will shut down and won’t be available to its customers.

“We’re very excited that Rilo has been acquired by Adobe in such a short span of time,” Rahul Gupta, managing partner, Day Zero Ventures told TechCrunch over email. “Their workflow builder product was way ahead of the curve and shall be extremely valuable to a giant like Adobe in enhancing customer experience and productivity.”

Far Labs, based in Abu Dhabi, and Evolving Edge from Austin, are developing platforms designed to offload artificial intelligence (AI) inference tasks to underutilized consumer hardware, as reported by IEEE Spectrum.

Far Labs is gearing up to introduce its Far AI platform soon, boasting a low latency of 100 milliseconds or less, while Evolving Edge is currently in an open beta phase. "Think of it as the Uber or Airbnb for AI inference tasks," stated Ilman Shazhaev, the CEO and founder of Far Labs. Both startups are focusing on smaller, open-source AI models, rather than the more resource-intensive frontier models. They are entering a competitive arena that includes established players like Salad, a Utah-based platform that actively connects over 60,000 consumer GPUs daily.

The technology employed by Far Labs involves a specialized scheduler that breaks down AI models into manageable sections, which are then processed across multiple machines. An orchestrator and load balancer work together to reassemble these sections into a complete response. Meanwhile, Evolving Edge utilizes Ray, an open-source framework commonly found in traditional data centers, to facilitate job distribution.

Naturally, allowing external workloads onto personal systems can pose risks, such as exposure to malicious software or unauthorized access to local data. To mitigate these concerns, both companies implement robust isolation techniques. Inference workloads operate within a sandboxed environment, supported by encrypted communications and stringent limitations on GPU, CPU, memory, storage, and network access. Users of Evolving Edge are assured that their machines remain secure, particularly since the company has made its node software open-source, enabling hosts to audit the processes running on their devices.

Salad offers consumer GPU processing services at rates as low as $0.02 per hour, with GPU owners receiving only a fraction after the platform takes its fee. A review of Salad in 2021 revealed that it had generated around $3.6 million from users’ hardware, while dishing out approximately $500,000 in rewards. This resulted in a return of about 14 cents for every dollar contributed by users. However, electricity costs can erode potential profits: running an RTX 4090 at full load can consume 350W to 450W, translating to roughly $40 to $50 monthly at $0.15 per kWh, meaning that if your rig earns less than these expenses, it might just be losing money. Yet, details on payouts for the new platforms remain unspecified in the IEEE Spectrum report.

Both Shazhaev and John Federico, CEO of Evolving Edge, emphasize the resilience of distributed networks, which can withstand failures that typically paralyze centralized cloud services. Federico referenced a significant AWS outage that left smart devices unresponsive and stated that even if his network lost 100 out of 250,000 nodes, the system would continue to function normally.

Despite the advantages, distributed AI computing still faces skepticism. A research preprint from June highlighted concerns, pointing to Pearl, a blockchain initiative claiming to convert cryptocurrency mining into AI processing, which was found to operate the equivalent of 320,000 RTX 3090 GPUs on tasks yielding no significant AI outcomes. In contrast, Far Labs and Evolving Edge focus on real AI inference jobs rather than token incentives, positioning themselves as a more credible option, though their claims regarding costs and latency need validation as they scale up their operations.

If, like mine, your gaming rig spends most of its life doing nothing these days, a pair of startups would be willing to pay you something close to minimum wage for its downtime. Abu Dhabi-based Far Labs and Austin-based Evolving Edge are building marketplaces to farm AI inference out to idle consumer hardware, according to an IEEE Spectrum report.

Far Labs plans to launch its Far AI platform in the coming weeks, claiming latency of 100 ms or less, while Evolving Edge is running an open beta. "Imagine Uber or Airbnb, but for AI inference computing tasks," Ilman Shazhaev, founder and CEO of Far Labs, told the outlet. Both companies are targeting smaller open-source models rather than frontier-scale workloads, and they’re joining established players, including the Utah-based Salad platform, which lists more than 60,000 daily active consumer GPUs on its network.

Far Labs’ proprietary scheduler splits a model into pieces spread across multiple machines, and an orchestrator and a load balancer then reassemble the partial outputs into a response. Evolving Edge distributes jobs with Ray, the open-source framework used inside conventional data centers.

Letting a stranger’s workload onto a personal machine obviously comes with some risks for hosts, such as malicious code ending up on the device or the person on the other end gaining access to local files. The two firms’ solution to this is isolation, with inference running as a sandboxed workload with encrypted communication and hard limits on GPU, CPU, memory, storage, and network access. Customers get no direct access to the host machine, and Evolving Edge has open-sourced its node software so hosts can audit what runs on their hardware.

Salad sells consumer-GPU compute to customers for prices starting at $0.02 per hour, and the card’s owner only sees a slice of that… pie after the platform takes its cut. We examined Salad in 2021, back when its network mined Ethereum, estimating that the company had generated roughly $3.6 million from users' PCs while distributing $500,000 in rewards, which works out to about 14 cents on the dollar for the people supplying the silicon.

Electricity costs then chew through whatever's left. An RTX 4090 draws 350W to 450W under sustained load, roughly $40 to $50 a month at $0.15 per kWh if the card runs around the clock, so a rig earning less than that is effectively paying for the privilege of having a job. However, IEEE Spectrum's report doesn't include payout rates for either new platform.

Both founders make the point that distributed networks ride out failures that otherwise cripple centralized clouds. John Federico, founder and CEO of Evolving Edge, cited the AWS outage last October that left Internet-connected smart beds stuck in their upright positions, and told IEEE Spectrum his network could lose 100 of 250,000 nodes “and it wouldn’t matter.”

All that aside, distributed AI compute has a credibility problem to overcome. A research preprint from June claimed that Pearl, a blockchain marketed as converting cryptocurrency mining into AI work, ran the equivalent of 320,000 RTX 3090-class GPUs on random matrix math while producing no useful AI computation. Far Labs and Evolving Edge route real customer inference jobs rather than token rewards, which puts them a step ahead of that model, but their cost and latency figures are unsubstantiated claims until, and if, the networks operate at scale.

As organizations increasingly grant artificial intelligence agents greater access to their systems, a burgeoning software supply chain is emerging, driven by the essential tools these AI entities utilize—including skills, plug-ins, MCP servers, and other enhancements that enable them to interact with the internet.

Recognizing the need for oversight within this supply chain, the AI security startup AIR has recently emerged from stealth mode, having successfully raised $50 million in two seed funding rounds aimed at developing a robust monitoring solution.

Founded by Yair Saban (CEO) and Niv Hoffman (CTO), both former members of Israel's elite Unit 8200 intelligence corps specializing in offensive cybersecurity, AIR presents a platform designed to discover AI agents operating within organizations. It continuously assesses the tools, skills, and components these agents employ and restricts their access to software and external resources that fail to meet security standards. Additionally, the platform includes a marketplace comprised of vetted add-ons and skills tailored for AI applications.

The fundraising efforts occurred in close succession, with the first round amassing $10 million and the second reaching $40 million. Sequoia Capital spearheaded the initial investment, while Greenoaks led the subsequent round. A diverse group of angel investors also contributed, featuring names such as Swish, Netz, and Zach Frankel, the president of Cognition, among others.

AIR's compelling proposition hinges on the evolving role of AI agents in corporate settings, which mirrors the functionalities of operating systems. However, the scrutiny applied to these agents and their software is not as rigorous as that given to traditional software drivers and applications.

“In the early 2000s, installing a driver didn’t require a signature. Today, each time a driver is installed, it comes with a signature indicating who approved it because it integrates code into the core system," Saban explained. "We lack that protective mechanism for skills, plug-ins, or MCPs, which is problematic since they operate under similar principles."

Saban contended that the primary risk arises as AI agents begin to operate more independently across databases and corporate infrastructures, frequently connecting to the internet. This allows potential attackers to sabotage the content an AI agent processes rather than directly targeting the application itself.

To address this concern, AIR developed a visibility product that can detect active agents within a company’s network, identifying employees who may be using unauthorized AI tools or personal accounts. The platform features an enforcement layer that interacts with agents to monitor and assess their actions, like implementing a skill or retrieving data from the internet. Furthermore, AIR maintains a whitelist of approved tools and add-ons to validate the software agents aim to utilize.

Saban noted that this whitelist is rigorously updated to reflect any changes in freely available skills and add-ons, mitigating risks in case a previously sanctioned skill becomes compromised or its associated account is hacked. Currently, AIR filters out around 27% of online add-ons and skills based on its evaluation criteria.

With over 20 clients, a significant portion of whom are large enterprises, AIR has found particular traction in sectors with strict regulatory requirements, such as finance and pharmaceuticals.

Despite AIR's innovative approach, it faces competition in the market. Companies like Noma Security provide similar discovery, access control, and monitoring capabilities, while Zenity specializes in security and governance tools for AI agents. Other players include Astrix Security, which offers identity management solutions, and Operant AI, which focuses on protecting agents and their corresponding MCP gateways.

The venture capital landscape is thriving in this sector, with significant investments made recently, including Zenity's $125 million Series C funding and Noma's $100 million Series B round.

Saban believes that AIR’s competitive edge lies in its ongoing evaluation of the evolving skills and add-ons ecosystem associated with AI agents. “The challenge of continuously vetting skills and plug-in sources is substantial. While gaining visibility over endpoints is relatively straightforward, creating a protective barrier around that process is much more complex,” he remarked.

Saban acknowledged the eventual integration of security checks by AI labs and providers as a necessity to filter out harmful skills and tools, yet he firmly believes there will remain a demand for an independent solution that spans across different vendors.

“This is not simply a matter of scanning; it’s about ongoing re-verification,” explained Bogomil Balkansky, a partner at Sequoia, in a statement to TechCrunch. “Real-time inspection of every skill, plug-in, MCP server, and sub-agent across a firm's entire agent fleet is fundamentally an infrastructure challenge before it becomes a security issue. AIR has dedicated the past year to developing this capability, which is not something that can be quickly replicated by merely improving scanning tools.”

Currently, AIR has a team of around 40 individuals, and Saban indicated that the newly acquired capital will primarily be allocated toward expanding the research team and enhancing the company's market presence in both the U.S. and Europe.

As companies start giving AI agents access to an increasing portion of their systems, a nascent software supply chain seems to be forming around the new tooling AI agents are using: skills, plug-ins, MCP servers, and add-ons that let them interact with the internet.

AI security startup AIR believes companies will need a way to monitor that supply chain, and it’s now coming out of stealth with $50 million raised across two seed rounds to build that product.

Founded by Yair Saban (CEO) and Niv Hoffman (CTO), veterans of Israel’s Unit 8200 intelligence corps, where they worked on offensive cybersecurity, AIR offers a platform that can discover agents running inside companies, continuously vet any skills, tools, and components those agents use, and block them from interacting with software or external sources that don’t pass security criteria. It also offers a marketplace of vetted add-ons and skills for AI agents.

The funding rounds closed within weeks of each other, Saban told TechCrunch, with the first round raising $10 million, and the second $40 million. Sequoia led the first round, while Greenoaks led the second, Saban said. Swish, Netz, and Zach Frankel (president of Cognition), Yinon Costica (co-founder of Wiz), Ofir Ehrlich (co-founder of Eon), Anne Neuberger, Omer Adam, Varun Anand (co-founder of Clay), and other angel investors also participated.

AIR’s pitch goes thusly: The way AI agents are used wholesale at companies is beginning to resemble operating systems, but the tools they use, or the software they can install, aren’t yet being given the kind of oversight we give to drivers or applications.

“In the early 2000s, whenever you installed a driver, the driver didn’t need to be signed. Today, every time you install a driver, you see a signature saying who signed it, because the driver is actually loading code into the kernel,” Saban said. “You don’t have that with skills or plug-ins or MCPs, and it’s a shame, because it’s the same mechanism, it’s the same lesson, but we haven’t learned it.”

The big risk, he argues, is that as AI agents start working more autonomously across databases and enterprise systems, and connecting to the internet, attackers can poison the content an AI agent consumes instead of attacking it directly.

The startup says it can solve that with a visibility product that finds agents active across a company’s environment, as well as identifies employees who use AI tools unapproved by IT departments or those who use personal accounts. Then, it uses an enforcement layer that hooks into agents to intercept and analyze actions, like loading a skill or fetching content from the internet. Lastly, AIR also checks the tools, add-ons, or software an agent wants to use against a whitelist the startup maintains.

Saban says the startup maintains this whitelist by evaluating skills and add-ons openly available on the internet for changes and malicious behavior, as a previously approved skill could become risky if a package it downloads changes, or its developer’s account is compromised. He added that AIR’s platform currently filters out about 27% of the add-ons and skills it finds online.

AIR claims it has more than 20 customers, and Saban said roughly a quarter of these are large enterprises. He said the company has so far seen the strongest demand in heavily regulated industries, particularly financial services and pharmaceutical companies.

However, AIR is hardly alone in this space. Noma Security offers discovery, access controls, and runtime monitoring for agents, MCP servers, and skills, while Zenity sells security and governance tools that work similarly. Astrix Security‘s identity platform also lets companies discover and control agents and MCP servers, and Operant AI offers agent protections as well as an MCP gateway.

There is significant venture money chasing the category, too. Zenity raised a $125 million Series C in August, while Noma raised a $100 million Series B last year.

Saban thinks AIR’s moat lies in its ability to continuously vet the skills and add-ons ecosystem growing around AI agents. “Continuously vetting skills and plug-in websites, this is a hard mission to do. Gaining visibility over the endpoint, that is easy. Everybody’s going to do it. It’s hard to create a moat around that,” he said.

And while the CEO acknowledged that AI labs and providers will eventually build in security checks and policies to filter out malicious skill and tool usage, he thinks companies will still want to buy an independent product that works across vendors.

“This is not a scanning problem, it is a continuous re-verification problem,” Bogomil Balkansky, partner at Sequoia, told TechCrunch in an emailed statement. “Inspecting every skill, plugin, MCP server and sub-agent an enterprise’s agents touch, re-inspecting each one every time it changes, in real time and across an entire company’s agent fleet, is an infrastructure problem long before it is a security problem. Air has spent the last year building that pipeline. You do not catch up to it by writing a better scanner.”

AIR currently has around 40 employees. Saban said the new capital will primarily go toward hiring researchers and expanding the company’s go-to-market efforts in the U.S. and Europe.

There are WhatsApp groups, various apps for school, sports, and clubs, plus announcements sent home that need attention. Reich found that this endless cycle kept him from truly enjoying time with his family.

About a year and a half ago, Reich and Karlin began developing a solution, later joined by co-founder Jason Morrow, a veteran from Google and LinkedIn. Their goal was to create an AI that functions as a proactive personal assistant, helping families manage their tasks rather than merely responding to their requests.

To use Fambot, families link their email, calendars, and necessary WhatsApp groups. The bot then generates a daily list of tasks and highlights upcoming calendar events.

Fambot utilizes a mix of AI models while ensuring user data remains private and unutilized for model training. What sets Fambot apart from other AI agents like Poke or Instinct is its capability to offer an interface beyond just text messaging.

This innovative approach is crucial, as Fambot is positioning itself to cater to users who may prefer interacting with the AI through both web interfaces and traditional mobile applications, allowing for more sophisticated features.

For those who like texting, Fambot still supports messaging for inquiries and updates. Additionally, the team plans to integrate the bot with family-centric communication platforms used by schools, sports teams, and clubs, effectively transforming Fambot into a centralized hub for managing family communications.

"There are 43 million families in the U.S. with children under 16, and they often lack the support they need," noted Reich. "We anticipate challenges before they arise, enabling families to stay one step ahead."

Prior to its official launch, Fambot was tested by over 1,000 families, revealing that its appeal spans various family structures—not just dual-income households but also single-parent households and families with only one child.

The startup has secured $3.5 million in pre-seed funding, with investments from NextView Ventures, Baukunst, Correlation Ventures, Karman Ventures, and Founders Network.

Currently, Fambot is free during its beta phase on iOS, Android, and web platforms, with future pricing likely aligning with standard subscription services, such as Netflix, although final costs may vary.

AI agents that perform tasks on your behalf to help solve your daily problems are all the rage in Silicon Valley. But the startup Fambot sees a future for agents out in the real world, too, where they’re used by families who need help keeping up with the mental load of children’s activities, school events, newsletters, and other family logistics.

The startup, which is introducing what it calls an “AI chief of staff” for parents, was founded by former Instagram engineer, now Fambot CTO Greg Karlin and CEO David Reich, a father, former president at UnitedMasters, and an ex-Uber product head who last led the 250-person Uber Transit team.

Like many entrepreneurs, Reich built the product that he himself wanted to use.

“I have three kids and am constantly struggling between doing all these executive jobs — as my wife is doing as well,” he explained. “And then, getting home at the end of the day, I just want to unplug, spend some time with my kids, be present, do some homework together… kick the ball around, and instead I find myself just spending an hour, literally, catching up on 40 emails,” Reich said.

As any parent with active kids could tell you, the information overload isn’t limited to email alone. There are WhatsApp groups to keep up with, dedicated apps for school or kids’ sports and clubs, flyers sent home from school, and more. The quest to constantly stay on top of all these to-dos kept Reich feeling like he was being robbed of time with his kids, he said.

Reich and Karlin began working on a solution around a year-and-a-half ago, when they were then joined by their third co-founder, Jason Morrow, previously of Google and LinkedIn. The team wanted to devise a way to use AI to make it feel like families had a full-time personal assistant that was proactively helping them stay on top of things, not just reacting to input.

To use Fambot, families connect their email, calendar, and the WhatsApp groups they need to pay attention to. Afterwards, the bot will offer a daily checklist with to-dos and a look ahead at what’s coming up on your calendar in the future.

Under the hood, the company uses a combination of different AI models, with the caveat that none of the models can train on its users’ data.

What’s different about Fambot, compared with other trending AI agents like Poke or Instinct, is that it doesn’t only work over text messages.

This is a significant differentiator for the startup, as it’s betting that real-world users of AI like this will also want to engage with the AI bot over the web or in a traditional mobile app interface.

By offering software solutions instead of just text, Fambot can build out more advanced features.

Of course, you can still text Fambot to ask questions or get updates, if you prefer. Plus, the team is planning to integrate Fambot over time with more of the apps where family and kids’ communications take place, like those used by schools, sports, groups, and clubs. Eventually, that would make Fambot a central hub for keeping up with all the kid-related and family-related communications — a promise that’s bigger than just another AI agent you can text.

However, Saban argues that merely expanding permission is not the primary concern. "The true danger arises from exposure to malicious information," he noted, identifying three main sources of this risk: installed extensions or tools, potentially fraudulent websites, and sensitive internal organizational data. 

AIR's research initiatives have revealed alarming trends, such as over 17,800 public AI add-ons linked to nearly 6.7 million installations reliant on unverified external sources. In another investigation, AIR identified fraudulent AI Skills masquerading as trusted brands, capable of executing malicious code on enterprise systems.

In response, AIR has created a real-time firewall solution aimed at filtering the information that enters an AI agent's context, blocking harmful instructions and untrusted data before they can shape the agent's decisions. This platform continuously assesses Skills, plugins, and other add-ons associated with an organization's AI agent supply chain, both pre- and post-deployment. If a malicious or unauthorized add-on is discovered, AIR enables security teams to track dependent agents and workflows, facilitating prompt remediation across the organization.

Furthermore, the company plans to launch a marketplace featuring pre-vetted and certified add-ons, allowing enterprises to enhance their agents securely. "We began selling to major companies and have already onboarded some significant clients," Saban remarked. The firm has also initiated hiring in the United States, including a senior executive from Disney.

As AIR enters a market poised for rapid change, with a rising number of startups in AI security, Saban recognizes the need for differentiation. The firm focuses on preventive measures rather than reactive solutions after an agent has been compromised, setting it apart from competitors.

"The simplicity of software development has lowered significant barriers, resulting in many newcomers,” he noted, asserting that AIR's commitment to prevention is a key differentiator. He further stated that the technology underpinning AIR's security engine is complex and difficult to replicate, giving them a competitive edge through accumulated expertise and a distinct approach to security.

The new funding will be used to expand AIR's operations and accelerate its commercial endeavors, as they position themselves at the forefront of AI security innovation.

The size of the round is notable given how recently the company was founded. AIR is betting that as companies move from experimenting with AI agents to relying on them for increasingly important tasks, a new security layer will be needed to protect the tools, information and instructions those agents encounter.

The company describes that layer as an “inline firewall” for AI agents, a system designed to protect what enters an agent’s context rather than simply restricting what the agent is allowed to do.

As enterprises deploy more AI agents, those systems can connect to an expanding range of tools, information and third-party services. Agents can browse websites, read emails and files and perform actions on behalf of employees. They can also install AI plugins and use Skills, MCP servers and subagents to extend their capabilities.

That creates a different kind of security challenge. Malicious content or a compromised tool could influence an agent and cause it to take an action it was not intended to take, potentially creating risks ranging from data theft and fraud to unauthorized access.

Unlike traditional software, AI agents make decisions based on information they encounter while carrying out their tasks. That can make it harder for security teams to understand what is influencing an agent, what systems it can access and what actions it may ultimately take.

“Every enterprise has a firewall protecting its network. Now they need one protecting their AI agents,” Saban, AIR’s co-founder and CEO, told Calcalist. “AI agents need a new kind of firewall, one that protects what enters their context.”

Saban argues that the problem is not simply that companies are giving AI agents too many permissions.

“We believe that AI agents are a hedged risk,” he said. “Organizations are gaining trust in agents and companies are counting on them to deliver products. There is more and more trust, and they are granting increased permissions.”

But Saban argues that permissions are not the only, or even the primary, source of danger.

“We think it becomes dangerous when it is exposed to malicious information,” he said.

According to Saban, there are three main sources of that risk: extensions and tools installed on an agent, websites it encounters online, including fraudulent or fake sites, and internal organizational information.

“We think that this is the source of the risk, not unnecessary permissions,” he said. “There are new challenges today and you need to know that everything it encounters is filtered.”

AIR's launch follows a series of security studies conducted by the company into what it describes as the supply chain surrounding AI agents.

In one study, AIR found more than 17,800 public AI add-ons representing approximately 6.7 million installations that relied on untrusted external sources for instructions.

In another, the company identified AI Skills impersonating trusted brands, including Anthropic and OpenAI, in an attempt to bypass platform security reviews. One of the Skills was capable of executing arbitrary code on enterprise systems, according to AIR.

The research points to a problem that could become more significant as agents gain greater autonomy: the software and information surrounding an agent can become a means of influencing its behavior.

AIR has developed a real-time firewall designed to protect the information entering an AI agent's context and block malicious instructions, untrusted information and compromised tools before they can influence the agent's decisions or actions.

The platform continuously discovers and evaluates Skills, plugins, MCP servers and other add-ons across an organization's AI-agent supply chain, both before and after deployment.

When an add-on is found to be malicious, vulnerable or unapproved, AIR allows security teams to trace the agents and workflows that depend on it and revoke its use across the organization.

The company is also developing a marketplace of pre-vetted and certified add-ons, giving enterprises a way to expand the capabilities of their agents without introducing tools that have not been reviewed.

“We started selling to big companies and we have some big customers,” Saban said. “We started hiring employees in the United States and one of them was a senior executive at Disney and is now a senior executive with us.”

The company is entering a market in which the competitive landscape is likely to change quickly. AI security has attracted a growing number of startups, while the underlying technology itself is evolving rapidly.

Saban acknowledges that AIR cannot assume its lead will last.

“In principle, it was also very easy to copy in the past. The seriousness of developing software has dropped significantly. Many companies are emerging today,” he said.

His argument for differentiation is that AIR is concentrating specifically on prevention rather than detection after an agent has already been compromised.

“There are many AI companies today and many focus on other areas and we focus on prevention, and this differentiates us from our competitors,” Saban said.

He also believes the technology behind AIR's security engine will be difficult to replicate.

“The engine that we developed will be very difficult to develop. We have accumulated expertise over time. We have a significant difference from the others and it is the focus on prevention,” he said.

The company intends to use the new capital to expand its operations and accelerate its commercial activity.

In August, Israeli startups attracted over $577.5 million through 12 funding rounds, alongside a 13th undisclosed investment in cybersecurity firm Above. This surge is noteworthy as August is typically one of the slowest months for tech investments in Israel due to seasonal holidays. Notably, August 2026 marked the best performance for Israeli startups in this month since 2022.

The funding activity was largely influenced by a focal theme: the escalating utilization of artificial intelligence (AI) is introducing new challenges, and investors are increasingly inclined to support Israeli firms capable of creating the security infrastructure necessary to tackle these issues.

Out of the 13 funding announcements, many directly targeted the risks associated with AI. Startups sought capital to enhance the security of AI models, protect against AI-driven cyberattacks, monitor operations in production settings, and facilitate the transition of AI projects from experimental stages to full deployment.

Leading the fundraising efforts was Alice, which secured $140 million, valuing the company between $700 million and $800 million. Alice leverages extensive knowledge of online malicious activities to establish itself in a burgeoning security market focused on AI models and agents.

The second-largest funding round was Zenity’s Series C, which raised $125 million, bringing the total funding for this Israeli cybersecurity firm to $185 million as it pushes forward with global market expansion. Zenity is concentrated on securing autonomous AI agents, responding to the growing trend where enterprises deploy systems with reduced human oversight.

Both Oligo Security and Corma raised $60 million each but approached AI-related security challenges from distinct angles. Oligo emphasizes runtime security, aiming to protect applications during operation, arguing that AI-enhanced attacks enable hackers to exploit vulnerabilities faster than companies can repair them. Conversely, Corma's new Seed round is aimed at creating a foundational model for defensive cybersecurity, betting on the need for specialized AI systems to counteract the advanced capabilities of general-purpose AI.

In another notable milestone, travel fintech Faye raised $50 million in a Series C round, achieving an estimated valuation of $500 million. The company aims to broaden its global presence while employing AI to streamline the insurance claims process for what it terms the next wave of travel protection solutions.

QuantHealth managed to secure $45 million in a Series B to enhance its technology, designed to apply AI simulations in clinical trials. The company reports conducting simulations for over 600 trials, facilitating drugmakers in testing their strategies before committing substantial financial resources.

Remepy also made headlines by raising $36 million in a Series A to advance its AI-driven Hybridopa treatment for Parkinson’s disease, which has demonstrated improvements in both motor and non-motor symptoms during Phase IIa trials. Additionally, Remepy is exploring new avenues in rare tumors through a partnership with Merck.

Several smaller funding rounds in August further illustrated the burgeoning need for AI security solutions. Attestable raised $20 million supported by alumni from prominent organizations, advocating the use of zero-knowledge cryptography for enhanced verification processes within increasingly powerful AI systems.

June AI garnered $20 million in a pre-Seed funding, drawing interest from Marc Benioff and Michael Dell. The firm, founded by the team behind Bonobo AI, focuses on developing AI agents aimed at automating software implementation, a critical hurdle for enterprise AI adoption.

Lastly, Arrakis Security raised $8 million in Seed funding, emphasizing the necessity for monitoring AI agents post-access and addressing security for autonomous systems in enterprises.

The month’s fundraising was dominated by one theme: the rapidly expanding use of artificial intelligence is creating new problems, and investors are increasingly betting that Israeli startups can build the infrastructure and security systems needed to address them.

Of the 13 funding and investment announcements, a large number focused directly on the risks and challenges created by AI. Startups raised money to secure AI models and agents, defend companies against AI-powered cyberattacks, monitor activity inside production environments and help enterprises move AI projects from experimentation into deployment.

The largest round of the month came from Alice, which raised $140 million at a valuation of between $700 million and $800 million. The company is applying years of intelligence on malicious online behavior to what it sees as a new security market emerging around AI models and agents.

The second-largest round was Zenity’s $125 million Series C, bringing the Israeli cybersecurity company’s total funding to $185 million as it accelerates its global expansion. Oligo Security and Corma each raised $60 million, but approached the AI-driven security challenge from different directions.

Oligo raised the money as the company argues that AI-driven attacks are allowing attackers to discover vulnerabilities faster than companies can patch them. Its focus is runtime security, protecting applications while they are operating rather than relying solely on finding and fixing vulnerabilities before deployment.

Corma, meanwhile, raised a $60 million Seed round to develop a foundation model for defensive cybersecurity. The company is betting that as general-purpose AI becomes increasingly capable of attacking companies, specialized AI systems will be needed to defend them.

Travel fintech Faye was another major August fundraiser, raising $50 million in a Series C at an estimated $500 million valuation. The company plans to expand globally and use AI to automate insurance claims as it targets what it describes as the next generation of travel protection.

QuantHealth raised $45 million in a Series B for its effort to apply AI simulations to clinical trials. The company says its technology has simulated more than 600 trials and is designed to allow drugmakers to test decisions before enrolling patients or committing billions of dollars to development.

Remepy raised $36 million in a Series A as it prepares its AI-driven Hybridopa treatment for Parkinson’s disease for Phase III. The company says the program showed improvements in motor and non-motor symptoms in Phase IIa trials. It is also expanding its approach into rare tumors through a new partnership with Merck.

Several of August’s smaller rounds also reflected the growing effort to build security around AI.

Attestable raised $20 million, with backing from alumni of RAND, Unit 8200, StarkWare and Safe Superintelligence. The company is betting that zero-knowledge cryptography can provide companies and governments with a way to verify what happens inside increasingly powerful AI systems.

SYDNEY—An Australian antifraud startup that began after its founder kept a would-be scammer talking purely to entertain his kids has raised $8.15 million to accelerate its global expansion.

Apate.AI has created and trained hundreds of thousands of unique artificial intelligence-powered bots to intercept calls and other communications, holding conversations so realistic that those on the other end think they are speaking with a human.
