This innovative AI factory will equip LG Group with advanced computing infrastructure necessary for training, simulating, validating, and deploying AI applications across its core sectors. The collaboration leverages NVIDIA’s comprehensive AI factory platform alongside LG Group’s expertise as a global leader in consumer electronics, robotics, mobility components, smart technology, and data center solutions.

The strategic alliance integrates the development of AI models with physical data generation, robot training simulations, edge deployment, and factory-scale digital twin technologies. This integration aims to create a seamless workflow for the construction of physical AI systems.

In the realm of physical AI and robotics, the partnership combines LG's manufacturing data and experience from its international production facilities with NVIDIA's AI tools and digital twins. This collaboration is set to enhance the competitiveness of AI-driven manufacturing, establishing a new standard for smart factories globally. The initiative envisages a fully connected manufacturing process that incorporates real-time data and AI, from sourcing raw materials to production and logistics.

LG Electronics is actively designing home-based robots, like CLoiD, to assist with various domestic chores that improve convenience and quality of living. By incorporating NVIDIA's Isaac Sim and Isaac Lab open robotics frameworks into their workflows, LG can effectively simulate, train, and validate these robots in highly accurate virtual settings prior to deployment.

Furthermore, LG is investigating the use of the NVIDIA Isaac GR00T open-language model for its home robots and modular platforms, which will enable its robots to perform complex tasks with human-like reasoning. Both companies are set to co-develop reference models that will integrate LG’s robots into the NVIDIA Isaac GR00T ecosystem.

To tackle the challenges associated with training data for robotics, LG Electronics plans to establish a physical AI data factory to assist both Korean and global firms in fast-tracking their physical AI endeavors. Through this initiative, LG aims to convert processing power into high-quality training data for robotics and industrial AI projects, utilizing NVIDIA Cosmos world models for synthetic data generation and enhancements.

LG Innotek, leveraging its leading optical expertise, will provide advanced robotics components designed specifically for NVIDIA's development environments and GPU architectures.

Meanwhile, LG CNS is working on creating an ecosystem that simplifies the integration of AI robots in manufacturing and logistics sectors by incorporating NVIDIA’s robotics technologies into its PhysicalWorks industrial robot platform, thus speeding up AI adoption across manufacturing and logistics sectors.

The partnership further extends into the development of AI factories, promoting next-generation solutions for the AI era. LG Electronics is advancing its AI capabilities through technical collaborations on prefabricated modular designs that are aligned with NVIDIA's DSX AI factory technology, which is essential for deploying scalable supercomputing infrastructure.

In collaboration with LG Electronics and LG Energy Solution, LG Uplus, a telecommunications arm of LG Corp, is set to develop scalable and power-efficient AI factories that will utilize NVIDIA technology. The combined effort aims to leverage NVIDIA's advanced computing along with LG's resources to create opportunities in AI cloud services.

Similarly, LG CNS intends to design high-performance AI factories powered by NVIDIA GPUs based on the NVIDIA DSX framework, while LG Uplus plans to establish a comprehensive AI data center to support the latest NVIDIA GPUs. LG Energy Solution will work closely with NVIDIA to deliver energy solutions aligned with next-generation data center technologies.

In the field of mobility, LG Electronics is aligning its advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) and in-vehicle AI technology with NVIDIA’s DRIVE platform. This collaboration is geared towards harmonizing sensor, computational, and software frameworks with NVIDIA’s DRIVE Hyperion architecture, thus enhancing LG's initiatives in autonomous driving and software-defined vehicles.

Additionally, LG Innotek is asserting its prominence in the autonomous driving sector with a portfolio of advanced sensing and connectivity solutions, while planning to work with NVIDIA on next-gen components tailored for NVIDIA architectures.

NVIDIA and LG AI Research are also joining forces to further develop EXAONE, a leading sovereign AI model in Korea, aimed at developers and businesses. LG AI Research employs NVIDIA technologies to build and optimize the EXAONE model, and plans to expand the application of these AI technologies across LG Group, thereby enhancing enterprise AI capabilities.
