Index Ventures has successfully secured $3.5 billion in funding aimed at supporting ventures throughout all stages of company development, with a particular emphasis on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and infrastructure startups.

This substantial capital infusion includes a $400 million seed fund, a $900 million venture fund, and a $2.2 billion growth fund, which has been expanded from a previously established $1.5 billion growth fund.

The firm reiterated its commitment to identifying and nurturing entrepreneurial talent from the very beginning of their journeys. "From the outset, Index has operated under a core belief: exceptional founders can emerge from anywhere," the firm stated. "Our role is to discover top talent early and accompany them through every phase of their development."

In the context of Israel, this announcement bolsters Index's reputation as one of the leading international investors in the technology sector. Having been active in Israeli markets for two decades, Index's portfolio includes some of the nation’s most prominent tech firms, such as Wiz, Gong, Fireblocks, Capitolis, and Empathy.

Index was among the first institutional investors in Wiz, a cloud security firm established by former Adallom executives Assaf Rappaport, Ami Luttwak, Roy Reznik, and Yinon Costica. Wiz's acquisition by Google for $32 billion represented a significant financial boon for Index, with estimates suggesting a $4.3 billion return based on their ownership stake.

The firm has ramped up its investment activities in Israel in recent years, especially in areas focusing on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and infrastructure technologies.

Juriaan Duizendstraal, the partner overseeing Index's operations in Israel, noted late last year that the firm had made 16 investments in Israeli startups over the past three years, committing around $300 million to emerging companies.

Recent notable investments from Index include Glow, which raised $180 million at a valuation of $1.2 billion less than a year after its inception, aiming to develop security technology to safeguard enterprise endpoints against evolving cyber threats. Another company, NewCore, recently emerged from stealth mode with $66 million in funding, supported by Index, Cyberstarts, and Evolution Equity Partners, as it seeks to redefine identity security in a landscape where enterprises manage not just employees, but also machines and AI agents. Enigma AI benefited from a $71 million Seed round led by Index, as the Israeli robotics startup works on AI foundation models for robots and their deployment software. Wonderful, another venture that Index supported, has seen significant investment through its $34 million Seed round, a $100 million Series A, and a $150 million Series B focused on developing AI-driven customer service solutions. Lastly, Index participated in a $60 million Series B round for PointFive, an Israeli company specializing in the management and optimization of cloud infrastructure costs, alongside Salesforce Ventures and Accel.
