On Saturday, a large crowd gathered in San Francisco to voice their concerns regarding the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence technology by several major companies. The demonstration began outside OpenAI's headquarters in Mission Bay and later proceeded to the offices of Anthropic and Google DeepMind.

Demonstrators displayed a sign reading “AI IS NOT INEVITABLE” while assembling in front of OpenAI's building. Photographs captured reflections of the protesters in the sky bridge of the office, highlighting their presence in a vivid way.
Among the visuals, a large “PAUSE AI” banner was prominently displayed beneath the OpenAI headquarters. Numerous protesters could be seen brandishing various signs in opposition to the AI developments.
Fronting the march, members of the St. Gabriel’s Celestial Brass Band added a spirited note to the protest. Carrying a prominent anti-AI sign, demonstrators marched past the Cloudflare office and continued their route past a promotional advertisement for Google Gemini. Bystanders recorded the rally, which featured a large banner that read “QuitGPT.”
As the march progressed beneath Salesforce Park, participants raised their voices against the unchecked development of powerful AI technologies. Amid the crowd, one woman posed in front of a Google logo, holding a “DEAD END” street sign, while another group showcased a “STOP THE AI RACE” banner in front of a statue near Google’s offices located at 345 Spear St.
