SpaceX and Reflection have yet to provide comments to Reuters regarding their recent agreement. According to a report by CNBC, the total value of the payments could reach approximately $6.3 billion if the contract remains in effect until the end of its designated term.
The contract includes a provision allowing either party to terminate the agreement with a 90-day notice following an initial three-month period.
In a LinkedIn update, the Nvidia-backed startup emphasized that increased computing capacity enables greater advancements in open modeling, though additional specifics were not disclosed.
Earlier this month, SpaceX announced that Google will enter into a financial agreement, committing to pay $920 million monthly from October 2023 through June 2029. This deal includes an initial ramp-up phase with reduced fees that will last until September.
