On June 22, Upscale AI, a company specializing in AI networking infrastructure, announced it has successfully secured an additional $190 million in its early-stage funding round, resulting in a valuation of $2 billion.

This latest investment brings Upscale AI's total funding to $500 million. The funding round was spearheaded by Premji Invest, the investment arm of Indian billionaire Azim Premji.

A variety of new investors participated, including prominent names such as Nvidia, Salesforce Ventures, Seligman Ventures, and Singapore’s state investor Temasek. In addition, several existing stakeholders, including Maverick Silicon, Mayfield, Prosperity7 Ventures, StepStone Group, and Tiger Global, also took part in this round of funding.

Upscale AI offers a range of hardware, systems, and software designed to link AI chips, memory, and storage over a high-speed network, thereby enhancing the efficiency of large AI model training and operation while minimizing delays.

With the newly acquired funds, the company plans to accelerate its growth and expedite the rollout of its cutting-edge AI-native networking solutions.

Earlier in January, Upscale AI successfully raised $200 million through a Series A funding round led by Tiger Global, Premji Invest, and Xora Innovation.
