Recently, OpenAI, Anthropic, Microsoft, Advanced Micro Devices, and over 100 other companies joined forces by signing a letter urging businesses and policymakers to emphasize cybersecurity and take decisive action to strengthen defenses in the era of artificial intelligence.
The letter emphasized, "We have a limited window to strengthen cyber defenses."
This coalition of 116 organizations called on all enterprises to enhance their security measures, upgrade their systems, and leverage a combination of cost-effective and advanced AI models.
Additionally, the signatories advocated for a united governmental initiative to provide funding for cyber defense and ensure that vital infrastructure, such as hospitals and water treatment facilities, have access to the necessary resources, as they have been prime targets for cyberattacks.
The diverse signatories range from cybersecurity experts to financial institutions, semiconductor manufacturers, and cloud service providers.
