Adam Selipsky, who previously served as the CEO of Amazon Web Services, will take the helm at Helix Digital Infrastructure, a newly established company formed in collaboration among KKR, Kuwait Investment Authority, Nvidia, and energy provider Vistra. The initiative aims to deliver vital infrastructure specifically tailored for AI hyperscalers.
Helix is positioned as a centralized solution for the infrastructural requirements of hyperscalers, encompassing data centers, power supply, connectivity, and other essential services, as announced by KKR on Thursday.
Currently, Helix has amassed over $10 billion in long-term capital commitments. Once founding commitments are finalized, the company will welcome additional institutional investors.
Nvidia will contribute by facilitating the integration of its DSX AI factory-aligned infrastructure, while Vistra will focus on supplying the necessary energy resources.
Leading this new venture will be Adam Selipsky, supported by Waldemar Szlezak, KKR's global head of digital infrastructure, who will assume the role of chief investment officer.
As the demand for AI technology surges, major players like Anthropic, Google, and Meta are increasingly seeking robust infrastructure that can meet their diverse needs.
