As an investor, I strategically allocate my capital between low-cost funds and select individual stocks that I believe offer favorable risk-reward scenarios. My investment strategy consists of a balanced mix, with roughly half of my portfolio focused on each approach. While I enjoy delving into macroeconomic factors and fundamental analysis, I am acutely aware that market momentum and investor sentiment ultimately drive market performance. Consequently, I refrain from trying to time the market and only purchase stocks with the intention of holding them for a minimum of ten years.

In terms of fundamental analysis, it's well-known that markets tend to be forward-looking, yet few grasp the true implications of this notion. I avoid simplistic evaluations based solely on P/E ratios or dismissing a stock as “cheap.” Instead, I perceive markets as the intersection of supply and demand, highlighting the importance of forecasting human behavior.

I strive to look beyond the numerical data to comprehend what the market perceives in a stock, which often entails analyzing sectors, industries, and long-term growth trajectories. This method demands creativity, curiosity, a certain level of innocence, and the willingness to sometimes swim against the tide.

I reside in Geneva, Switzerland, which is reflected in my online username. I hold a Master’s Degree in Business and contribute to the investment conversation alongside fellow contributor "Rex Investing" on Seeking Alpha.
