DeepSeek has announced an ambitious plan to significantly expand its workforce, aiming to at least double the size of each department, as revealed in a statement this Thursday by the prominent Chinese AI company.
The organization is seeking to fill 33 positions across seven key sectors, which encompass roles in full-stack development, core AI system research and development, deep learning investigations, as well as management and engineering focused on model data strategy.
In its announcement, DeepSeek emphasized a transformative hiring approach, encouraging new hires to engage directly with essential tasks right from the start. The company believes this approach will enable newcomers to evolve into "top talent" within the field, playing an instrumental role in the quest for artificial general intelligence (AGI) – a form of AI that can match or surpass human intellectual capacities.
"We are on the brink of achieving AGI," stated the announcement. "Join DeepSeek to be part of this groundbreaking journey, positioned at the forefront of this significant era, and observe the emergence of a new age."
The company clarified that they are not exclusively in search of prodigies; they value potential and invite applicants who possess unique qualities.
Among the key roles advertised are server-side development engineers, pre-training data engineers, and R&D engineers specializing in supercomputing clusters. Additionally, there are openings for specialized domain data product managers in fields such as foreign languages, healthcare, and legal studies.
