Apple is exploring new partnerships with publishers to enhance the content available for its AI-driven Siri voice assistant, according to insiders familiar with the discussions. The tech giant has been reaching out to various publishers over recent months as part of this initiative.
The focus of these potential multi-year agreements is to secure access to news and information that would be utilized by Siri, with a launch anticipated later this year. To incentivize participation, Apple has proposed a variable compensation model, which would involve making payments to publishers each time their content is engaged by Siri. Reports indicate that the budget conversations could reach into the nine-figure range.
Despite inquiries, Apple has chosen not to provide any commentary on the matter.
